Katherine Fuh

Katherine Fuh, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Director of Basic and Translational Research in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. She returned to UCSF in 2022 after nine years at Washington University in St. Louis, where she conducted groundbreaking research in gynecologic oncology.

Her work bridges clinical practice and translational research, serving as principal investigator for multiple federal and foundation grants while maintaining active roles in national clinical trial committees like NRG Clinical Trials Group. She is internationally recognized for her Phase 3 trial GOG-3059/ENGOT OV-66 evaluating AXL inhibitors in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.

Her recent publications demonstrate diverse expertise spanning patient-derived xenograft modeling, mesothelial cell culture techniques, and behavioral interventions for endometrial cancer survivors. Scientific recognition includes the 2019 American Cancer Society Research Scholar Award and Reproductive Scientist Development Program Scholarship.
