Katherine Carroll

AsPr Katherine Carroll is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Sociology at The Australian National University. She holds dual qualifications in Sociology (PhD, BA Hons) and Physiotherapy, combining sociological expertise with healthcare practice. Her research focuses on the sociology of reproduction, lactation sciences, and qualitative methodologies like Video Reflexive Ethnography (VRE). She has pioneered VRE in healthcare settings such as neonatal ICUs and emergency departments, emphasizing participatory and visual research approaches.
