Katharine Beutner is Associate Professor of English at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, teaching fiction/nonfiction writing and 18th-century literature. She holds a PhD and MA from University of Texas at Austin, and AB from Smith College.
Research Interests:
Explores intersections of historical narratives, environmental writing, and gender/sexuality studies through creative and critical frameworks. Current projects examine colonial ecologies and archival methodologies.
Publications:
Novels and critical works focus on reimagining historical events through feminist and queer perspectives, particularly addressing environmental and social justice themes in Pacific and academic settings.
