معرفی
Katharina Wulff is an Associate Professor at the Department of Molecular Biology, Umeå University, and affiliated with the Wallenberg Center for Molecular Medicine (WCMM). Her research focuses on physiological mechanisms of mammalian timing behavior, daylight's impact on circadian rhythms, and connections to mental health and climate adaptation.
- Research Tools: Actigraphy, EEG, ESM, microdialysis, eye tracking
- Collaborations: Urban architects, lighting designers, engineers
- Labs: Katlab, Daylight Laboratory, Photon Space
Her work spans Eco-Chronobiology and Sleep Research, utilizing natural daylight studies in subarctic conditions and home environments. She leads the Nordic Daylight Research Programme, aiming to integrate daylight into urban design to counteract artificial lighting deprivation.
Recent publications highlight daylight's effects on attention and affect, light exposure analysis tools, and urban planning priorities. Her studies often involve longitudinal data from the NorthPop birth cohort, linking circadian rhythms to life-course health and mental disorders.
