Katharina Scharf is a doctoral student at the Department of History, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Salzburg. Her research focuses on the transformation of Alpine regions like Salzburg and Savoy into tourism hubs during 1860–1914, emphasizing infrastructure and socio-cultural interactions. She is supervised by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Knoll and Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Kurt Luger.
