Kath Donohue is the Associate Head of School (Student Experience and Inclusivity) in the School of Health Professions at the University of Plymouth, and Programme Lead for the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. She oversees student experience, inclusivity, and program delivery aligned with Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) standards. As a lecturer, she teaches cardio-respiratory modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, focusing on Cystic Fibrosis and long-term respiratory conditions.
Her research interests include thoracic kyphosis impact on lung function in Parkinson’s patients, exercise prescription in Cystic Fibrosis, and Hippotherapy for cerebral palsy. She supervises student research projects and provides pastoral support across programs. Collaborating with a professional teaching team, she emphasizes research-informed education and student development into autonomous, resilient clinicians.
Additional responsibilities include managing the Integrated Masters (MPhysio) program development and postgraduate teaching. She ensures adherence to university quality assurance frameworks while maintaining clinical relevance in curricula.
