Katerina Panttser

Katerina Panttser is an Associate Professor of Finance and Economics at the McColl School of Business, Queens University of Charlotte, where she joined in fall 2019. She serves as Program Director for the Master of Science in Finance and Analytics (MSFA) and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in derivatives markets, international finance, financial institutions, corporate finance, and financial modeling in Excel.

Her research focuses on risk management (including financial crises and systemic risk) and health finance (examining government regulations’ impact on hospital performance). She has applied mathematical and statistical models extensively to business-sector analyses, as highlighted in her work.

Dr. Panttser has presented her research at prestigious venues, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, World Finance Symposium, Financial Management Association, Midwest Finance Association, European Financial Management, and Eastern Finance Association annual meetings. Her scholarly output appears in journals such as the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Review of Financial Economics, Journal of Risk and Financial Management, and Journal of Risk Finance.
