Dr. Katelynn Slade is a Researcher at Loughborough University's National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM), affiliated with the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences. Her work focuses on weight management, sport performance psychology, and challenges in coach-athlete relationships. She holds a PhD from Loughborough University on selection/deselection dynamics in high-performance sport, supported by an IOC grant. Prior to this, she earned a BA in Psychology/Behavioural Neuroscience from Drury University and an MSc in War & Psychiatry from King’s College London.

Her research interests encompass behavioral change interventions, women's leadership in sport, and ethical coaching practices. Recent studies explore grey zone conflicts in coaching and leadership development for female coaches. Notable recognition includes the IOC Olympic Studies Centre PhD Grant. Her work bridges sport science with practical applications in athlete development and organizational behavior.
