Katelyn Romsa

Katelyn Romsa is an Associate Professor in the Counseling and Human Development department at South Dakota State University (SDSU). She currently coordinates the Administration of Student Affairs (M.Ed.) and College Counseling (M.S.) programs. Previously, she served as faculty at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she earned her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. Her professional experience includes roles in college counseling centers, recruitment coordination, and sophomore initiatives.

Her research focuses on student-faculty interactions influencing retention and satisfaction, factors affecting NCAA student athletes' college decisions, and supervision methodologies for graduate student success. She actively publishes and presents on these topics. Katelyn is based at Thompson Center 119 in Brookings, SD.
