Kate Walters

Kate Walters serves as Clinical Professor of Primary Care & Epidemiology within the Primary Care & Population Health department at University College London. She holds significant leadership positions as Co-Head of the Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health (PCPH) and Director of the Centre for Ageing & Population Studies UCL. Her work focuses on world-leading research addressing disease management and prevention in high-priority health areas, with substantial contributions to primary care and population health education.

Professor Walters' educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy from University College London (2009), Master of Science from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2002), Master of Medicine from University of Dundee (2001), and Membership in the Royal College of General Practitioners (1997). Her research spans multiple disciplines including Clinical Sciences, Epidemiology, Public Health, Pharmacology, and Mental Health Services.

Her research portfolio demonstrates consistent focus on aging populations, mental health interventions, and primary care epidemiology.
