Kate Stanbury

Kate Stanbury is a Senior Lecturer at Manchester Law School, Manchester Metropolitan University, specializing in Private Client and Property law. With over 26 years of combined experience in private practice (10 years) and higher education (16 years), she joined the university in 2021. Kate leads the Legal Practice Course program and teaches modules including Property Law and Practice, Commercial Property, Land, Equity, Wills, Probate and Administration of Estates, and Solicitors Accounts.

Her research focuses on the evolving role of attorneys in health and welfare decision-making for incapacitated individuals, addressing challenges beyond financial management. As a 'pracademic', Kate develops innovative teaching materials that bridge legal theory and practice, creating dynamic classroom experiences.
