Kate Ross is Associate Professor of the Practice of Social Work and Assistant Dean for Field Education at the University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work. As Director of the Denver Campus MSW Program, she oversees two-year and Advanced Standing programs with emphasis on quality, equity, and inclusion. Ross developed foundation curriculum and health/wellness concentration, teaching courses like Community Practice, Disability Studies, and Mind Body Social Work. She founded Yoga for the People where she serves as field instructor.
Her research focuses on civic engagement, community development, health equity, and integrating holistic practices into social work. She recently studied Art and Justice impacts on community connection.
