Kate Petersen

Kate Petersen is a Professor and Department Head in the Department of Math and Stats at the University of Minnesota Duluth's Swenson College of Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on low-dimensional topology and number theory, with opportunities for undergraduate and masters students to engage in projects like the Mahler Measure of polynomials and Knot/Graph Invariants. She supports Federico Ardila's axioms for equitable and empowering mathematical experiences.
