Kate Longworth is a Lecturer in the Department for Continuing Education at the University of Oxford, specializing in Lifelong Learning (Creative Writing: Drama). Her research spans modern literary and intellectual history, with a focus on English theatre, drama, and intersections between philosophy, politics, and cultural theology.

Research Interests: Late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century literature, British Hegelianism, idealism, community and spirituality, social/educational policy, and print culture. She is also writing about fostering and adoption in England through her lived experience.
Publications: Her forthcoming monograph with Oxford University Press examines poetic drama’s ties to British Hegelianism and idealism. She has contributed to The Cambridge History of the Book in Britain and The Oxford Companion to the Book.
