Professor Kate Fox is a Professor and Head of Department & Associate Dean in Biomedical Engineering at RMIT University's School of Engineering. Her research focuses on advanced materials, biomedical devices, and additive manufacturing, with particular emphasis on medical implants and tissue engineering. She leads interdisciplinary projects in biomaterials, nanotechnology, and clinical sciences.
Her research interests include 3D printing of bioinspired structures, conductive diamond coatings, and antimicrobial materials. Notable projects involve developing diamond-titanium composites for implants, bioinspired porous structures, and mobile medical technologies like helicopter-integrated CT scanners.
