Dr. Kate D. Schoyer is an Associate Professor and Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), serving as Medical Director of the Reproductive Medicine Center. She holds dual board certifications in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Her clinical expertise spans advanced gynecologic surgeries, assisted reproductive technologies (ART), and fertility preservation strategies.
Education: B.A. in Psychology (Amherst College, magna cum laude), M.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (honors/Alpha Omega Alpha), Residency at Northwestern University (named Outstanding Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident 2003), and Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Joined MCW faculty in 2012 after prior faculty roles at Cornell.
Research focuses on optimizing ART outcomes, maternal health factors in IVF, and fertility-related decision-making. She has published extensively on topics like embryo cryopreservation, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), and recurrent pregnancy loss mechanisms.
Teaching: Active mentor for medical students and residents in reproductive endocrinology. Awards include the Augusta Webster Resident Award and Alpha Omega Alpha membership.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Reproductive Medicine Center, focusing on cutting-edge ART protocols and patient-centered care. Engaged in community service and mentorship initiatives.
