Dr. Kate Bancroft is a Visiting Lecturer at King's College London, affiliated with the School of Education, Communication & Society within the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. She holds a doctorate in the Sociology of Gender and a BA in Secondary Physical Education Teaching with Qualified Teacher Status. Her research focuses on gender equity in the workplace, women’s roles in professional sports (particularly Formula One), and sociocultural dynamics in education and sport. She currently advises MA and PhD students and leads a major project with the Metropolitan Police evaluating use-of-force training.

Research Interests: Kate examines intersectional barriers for women in male-dominated industries, including HR strategies for inclusion and equitable access to sports. Recent Work: Co-authored 2024 studies on police use-of-force training, demonstrating reduced conflicts without compromising officer safety. These findings inform national policy debates on public trust and institutional accountability.
Affiliations: Research Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR), focusing on social justice in education and policy. Collaborations include McLaren Racing, UK Home Office, and the Metropolitan Police.
