Katarzyna Porzuczek

Katarzyna Porzuczek serves as an English Philology lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice since 2009, previously teaching at the University of Silesia, Silesian Medical School, and University of Banking and Finance.

She earned her Master of Arts in English Philology from the University of Silesia in 1988, completing her thesis on concrete poetry and graphic symbols under Professor Tadeusz Sławek's supervision.

Her research integrates linguistic expertise with visual arts, focusing on English Philology, Concrete Poetry, and Graphic Symbols in Literature. She actively translates scholarly articles for art conference publications like Horizon and Poles, while creating original visual works that merge philological concepts with artistic expression.

Through her translations and teaching, she facilitates cross-cultural academic discourse in fine arts, bridging Polish scholarship with international audiences while incorporating musical and visual creativity into her academic practice.
