Anna Pohl is an Assistant Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and serves as Head of the Department of Visual Communication Design. She earned her degree in Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and a postgraduate certificate in Curatorial Studies in Contemporary Art Exhibitions from Jagiellonian University in Krakow.

Her research focuses on design strategies for brand and place identity, visual information systems, and socially responsible design. She has contributed to projects like the visual identity of Silesian Province and the redesign of the Silesia brand, collaborating with institutions such as the Katowice branch of the Association of Polish Architects (SARP).
Key publications include works on design education, sustainable packaging trends, and participatory urban design. These explore interdisciplinary approaches to integrating design into public and institutional contexts.
Scientific awards include the 2017 Śląska Rzecz award in the Applied Graphics category for the visual information system project at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.
Anna actively collaborates on social projects, co-curating the AGRAFA International Design Conference and managing the SARP Architecture Gallery. She leads the Design for Identity Studio and has contributed to urban revitalization research in Silesia.
