Katarzyna Kosior is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at Northumbria University, specializing in early modern European history with a focus on Poland-Lithuania and France. She earned her PhD in History from the University of Southampton in 2017. Her research examines royal courts, gender dynamics, and transnational politics, particularly analyzing ceremonial practices, court-society interactions, and the role of queenship in early modern Europe.
Key areas of study include the political culture of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, early modern diplomatic protocols, and cross-cultural representations of royal weddings. She supervises postgraduate research on topics such as women’s religious and gender ideals in early modern England.
Her publications span monograph reviews and peer-reviewed articles in journals like European History Quarterly and Historical Journal, addressing themes such as elective kingship, court ceremonial, and the reinterpretation of historical figures like Bona Sforza.
