Katarzyna Kamieniecka is a Lead Data Stewardship Trainer at the University of Bradford and ELIXIR-UK, specializing in Data Management and Stewardship within the life sciences. She actively participates in national and international focus groups like Elixir, The Carpentries, Galaxy Training Network, nf-core, and Northern BUG to develop bioinformatics and medical informatics training programs for clinical fellows and research staff.

Her research background emphasizes computational methods and training focused on robustness and reproducibility. Additionally, she works as a Senior Computational Biologist at the CRUK MI Cancer Biomarker Centre, creating novel methods and Nextflow pipelines to study genomic alterations in cancer derived from patient tumors and liquid biopsies.
She is responsible for delivering bioinformatics workshops and advocates for research data management and community engagement through tool development and training initiatives.
