Prof. Katarzyna Dudka is a faculty member at the Faculty of Law and Administration, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS), Lublin. She serves as the Head of the Department of Criminal Procedure and holds the title of Professor of Law since 2016. Her career spans over three decades, including roles at UMCS, the Institute of Justice in Warsaw, and collaborations with NGOs like the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.
Her research focuses on criminal law, procedural rights of crime victims, disciplinary accountability, and legal ethics. She has contributed to empirical studies on the effectiveness of victim protection instruments and strategic litigation frameworks.
Scientific awards include:
- 2nd Degree Rector's Award for doctoral dissertation (1998)
- Medal of the Commission of National Education (2010)
- Silver Medal for Long Service (2013)
