معرفی
Dr. Katarzyna Bury is a Scientific and Technical Employee at the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk (MUG), affiliated with the Department of Molecular Biology at the University of Gdańsk’s Institute of Biotechnology. Her work focuses on molecular mechanisms of DNA replication, nanoparticle-drug interactions, and bacterial pathogenesis. Key research areas include plasmid replication dynamics, protein-DNA interactions, and development of antimicrobial agents.
Her research integrates structural biology, biochemistry, and nanotechnology to address challenges in drug delivery and microbial adaptation. Notable contributions include studies on Rep protein mechanisms in plasmid replication, silver/platinum nanoparticle effects on chemotherapy agents, and mycobacterial stress response proteins like Lsr2.
Publications span from 2003 to 2025, with recent emphasis on nanomedicine applications and bacterial protein functions. Collaborative projects involve structural analysis of nucleoprotein complexes and development of cell-penetrating polymers for nucleic acid targeting.
