Dr. Katarina Fritzon is an Honorary Adjunct Associate Professor at Bond University's Faculty of Society & Design. She joined the institution in 2005 and specializes in forensic and clinical psychology with expertise in criminal behavior analysis. Her research focuses on the Faceted Action Systems Theory (FAST) applied to arson, homicides, and terrorism.
Education: PhD in Psychology (University of Liverpool), MSc (University of Surrey), MA Honours (University of Aberdeen). She is AHPRA-registered in Clinical and Forensic Psychology and holds Chartered Forensic Psychologist status with the British Psychological Society.
Teaching spans undergraduate to postgraduate levels, including Forensic Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Personality Assessment. She previously contributed to arson treatment programs at Broadmoor Special Hospital and advised over 30 arson investigations as a Behavioral Investigative Adviser in the UK.
Her research explores criminal behavior differentiation within FAST frameworks, with notable studies on school homicides, intrafamilial homicide, and terrorist hostage scenarios. She actively engages with professional bodies like the Australian Psychological Society and APS Forensic College.
