Kat O’Meara is an Assistant Professor of English and Director of Writing Across the Curriculum at St. Norbert College. Her work focuses on anti-racist and inclusive pedagogy, aiming to translate theoretical concepts into actionable classroom practices for future educators. She developed the Anti-Racist and Inclusive Pedagogy/Practice course, originally designed for English education students but later expanded to graduate students in the Master of Liberal Studies and MBA programs.

Her research emphasizes connecting critical theory to classroom application, with a particular focus on empowering teachers to address systemic inequities. She prioritizes pedagogical frameworks that center marginalized voices and disrupt traditional power dynamics in education.
As Director of Writing Across the Curriculum, she oversees initiatives to integrate writing competency throughout the university’s academic programs.
