Kashif Talpur is a Lecturer in Computing (AI & Data Science) at Solent University. He is a member of the Science and Engineering Research Group and holds a PhD from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (2018).
His research focuses on optimization algorithms, evolutionary computing, machine learning, and data science. Key areas include metaheuristic algorithms like particle swarm optimization, ant colony optimization, and artificial bee colony, alongside neural networks, deep learning, and data visualization techniques.
Recent projects include the SEAGUARD initiative (2024–2027), a collaborative effort using AI and robotics for environmental monitoring. His publications span topics like DNA motif discovery, medical image segmentation, and recommendation systems.
He has contributed to over 45 research outputs since 2015, with notable work in bioinformatics, medical AI, and data-driven technologies.
