Kasey Grady is a Senior Lecturer in the College Writing Program at Washington University, specializing in writing pedagogy and creative writing. She holds an MFA in Poetry from the University of Missouri–St. Louis (2014), and MA and BA in English from Truman State University. Her scholarly interests include memoirs, food writing, pop culture adaptations of classic literature, and social justice in education.

Her research and publications focus on poetry, literary criticism, and pedagogy. She has published a chapbook, When the Dead Get Mail (2019), and her poetry appears in journals like Chattahoochee Review and Wisconsin Review. Awards include the 2014 Margaret Leong Children’s Poetry Prize.
Grady also serves as a progress counselor for academically probationary students and advocates for first-generation and low-income college students. She has taught at Truman State University and St. Charles Community College, and previously worked as a writing tutor at UMSL.
