Karrie Walters is a Senior Instructor II and CDAC Clinic Director in the College of Education at the University of Oregon, affiliated with the Department of Family and Human Services. She holds dual roles in academia and clinical practice, specializing in psychological assessment for neurodevelopmental disorders and clinical training. Her work integrates 25 years of clinical experience with evidence-based practices to mentor students across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs in counseling psychology, school psychology, and clinical psychology.

She founded the HEDCO Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment Clinic (CDAC) in 2017, offering advanced clinical training and strength-based evaluations. Her work emphasizes translating research into practice, particularly in fostering resilience among marginalized communities.
Key Contributions: She has developed curricula for the Family and Human Services program, focusing on prevention science and community development. Her workshops address best practices for LGBTQ+ youth, implicit bias in court advocacy, and ethical social justice frameworks for psychologists.
