Karrie Liu is a Research Student at the University of Sussex, School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, pursuing a PhD in Women's Health Hubs in Sussex under Dr. James Van Yperen's supervision. She concurrently serves as an MSc dissertation Tutor at the University of Southampton while maintaining active industry roles in healthcare analytics. A chartered mathematician/statistician, she holds dual fellowships with The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (CMath FIMA) and The Operational Research Society.
Her research integrates applied mathematics and operational research to combat health inequalities, specifically targeting women's healthcare delivery in underserved communities. She develops mathematical models to optimize pharmaceutical interventions and medical resource allocation, aiming to transform patient outcomes through data-driven healthcare system innovations.
