Karolina Prawda is a Lecturer in Audio Engineering for Creative Technologies at the University of York. She holds a BSc and MSc in Acoustic Engineering from AGH University of Kraków (2016–2017), a BA in Interior Architecture from Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (2017), and a PhD in Acoustics and Audio Signal Processing from Aalto University (2022). She conducted postdoctoral research at Aalto University until 2024.
Her research focuses on robust acoustic measurements, artificial reverberation algorithms, room impulse response post-processing, and active acoustics for performance spaces. Key areas include optimizing feedback delay networks, improving non-stationary noise removal techniques, and developing methods for analyzing room acoustics in dynamic environments.
Publications highlight advancements in reverberation synthesis, acoustic measurement robustness, and open-source tools for audio processing. Her work bridges theoretical acoustics with practical applications in architectural acoustics and creative technologies.
No scientific awards are listed. Her advising and grants section remains unspecified. Collaborations involve Aalto Acoustic Labs, evidenced by datasets like the Arni variable acoustics room measurements.
