Karol Lewalski is an Assistant Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, affiliated with the Studio of Fundamentals of Artistic Graphic Arts under Professor Waldemar Marszałek. Born in 1986, he graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the same institution in 2014. His artistic practice focuses on experimental linocut techniques, emphasizing process-driven creativity and the interplay of chance in printmaking.

His research explores the transformative potential of linocut as a medium, prioritizing the method of creation over static outcomes. Each print undergoes iterative revisions with varied color schemes and techniques to achieve unique expressions. Awardee of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Award (2013), he has participated in major exhibitions and competitions including the Student Graphic Arts Biennial in Poznań and Pomeranian Graphic Arts of the Year awards. His work emphasizes dynamic experimentation and conceptual reinvention in traditional printmaking methods.
