These projects have been supported by Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada grants.

Dr. McManus actively participates in national and international conferences, often addressing topics at the intersection of photography, environmental studies, and Canadian art history.
Dr. McManus's work has been recognized through SSHRC funding and her extensive publication record in respected journals and edited collections. Her recent special issue co-editing on 'The Slide Lecture' demonstrates her engagement with the evolving methodologies of art historical presentation.
As an educator, Dr. McManus teaches courses including Introduction to Art History, Modern Art History, the History of Photography, Canadian Art History, and Ecocritical Art History. She is interested in supervising students in areas related to Canadian photographic history, ecocritical approaches to art, and prairie art history, providing mentorship grounded in her active research program.
