Dr. Karl C. Alcover is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). He holds a PhD in Epidemiology from Michigan State University (2018) and a BS in Biology from the University of Hawaii-Manoa. His research focuses on long-term health outcomes of injury, substance use patterns, mental health disparities, and military health epidemiology. He has led the MED READ PRO: Medical Readiness Project (2022-2024), investigating epidemiological methods to enhance military readiness through injury and disease prevention.
