Karishma Shukla is a Research Assistant at the School of Public Health, University of Queensland, working with the First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research Program. She is currently completing her Honours degree under the supervision of Dr. Shafkat Jahan and Dr. Cassandra Vujovich-Dunn, following a Bachelor of Behavioural Science from the University of Queensland.
Her research interests focus on the intersection of climate change and mental health, particularly through global adaptation strategies analyzed via systematic reviews. She contributes to the Miyil-Janay Yundu – Looking After Yourself Project, aligning with her expertise in public health and global health.
Karishma’s work emphasizes synthesizing evidence to address critical challenges in climate change-induced mental health impacts. She is affiliated with the University of Queensland’s School of Public Health and actively engages in research projects and academic training.
