Karine V Walther is an Associate Professor of History at Georgetown University’s Qatar campus, affiliated with the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. She specializes in international history, focusing on U.S.-Islamic world relations, American imperialism, and global educational systems. Her research examines themes such as missionary activities, Saudi-U.S. diplomatic ties, and the intersection of religion and power.

Research & Publications: Her first book, *Sacred Interests*, explores U.S. engagement with the Islamic world from 1821–1921. She is currently writing *Spreading the Faith*, analyzing ARAMCO’s role in U.S.-Saudi relations. She co-edits volumes on global industrial education and Islamophobia.
Previous Roles: Visiting Professor at Middlebury College, Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard’s Belfer Center, and Visiting Lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School.
