Karin Tarte is a Full Professor in Immunology at Rennes Medical School and leads the Department of Immunology, Cell Therapy and Hematopoiesis at Rennes University Hospital. She directs the SITI immunomonitoring lab and oversees the UMR U1236 MOBIDIC research unit with 80+ members, including her team HONEYCOMB focused on B-cell lymphomas like follicular lymphoma.
Her research investigates the co-evolution of tumor clones and their immune/stromal microenvironment in B-cell malignancies. She pioneered clinical-grade mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC) therapies for inflammatory and degenerative disorders, influencing regulatory frameworks at French and European levels.
As an academic leader, she organizes local immunology courses at Rennes Medical School and contributes to translational research in immunotherapy biomarker discovery.
