Karin Olofsdotter is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Lund University. Her research focuses on globalization, regional integration, international trade, and corporate taxation, with a special emphasis on firm behavior and European Union dynamics. She teaches international economics courses at all academic levels and has supervised numerous theses. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to economic growth and industrial innovation.
Key projects include research on firms' internationalization and tax competition, alongside a network project on International Economics and Development. She actively engages in outreach, including media interviews with Bloomberg and Svenska Dagbladet, and participated in OECD's Territorial Review of Skåne.
Her research output includes 36 publications, with recent studies examining offshoring effects on SME job security, Euro trade impacts, and tax strategies of multinational corporations.
