Karima Saddedine

Karima Saddedine is a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Freiburg, affiliated with the Department of Sustainable Systems Engineering (INATECH). Her research focuses on developing biospheric-inspired materials for self-sufficient actuator systems.

Her work explores the intersection of biomimicry and engineering, particularly in the Bi-O-AKTOR project which investigates multi-material systems for autonomous actuators. This research contributes to sustainable technology development through bio-inspired design principles.

She collaborates closely with Prof. Dr. Frank Balle as her primary supervisor.
