Karim Ahmed is a Part-time Lecturer at Parsons School of Design, part of The New School. He is a registered architect in New York and a member of the AIA Bronx Chapter. He co-founded Pillars of Peace, an organization addressing domestic violence, and serves on its board. His research focuses on Managed Retreat, Transportation Planning, and Informal Construction Techniques. Ahmed is also a founding principal of Reform Architecture, a Bronx-based studio emphasizing ethical design practices.
