Kari Risnes is a Professor and Chief Physician at the Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and serves as Head of the National Ethics Committee for Clinical Trials of Drugs and Medical Devices (KULMU-A). She holds senior consultant roles at St Olavs Hospital and has significant board memberships in organizations like Nepalimed Norway and the Norwegian Medical Association. Her research focuses on pediatric respiratory infections, asthma development, long-term outcomes of preterm birth, global health systems improvement, and pediatric brain injury rehabilitation.
