Kari K. Turner is an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal and Dairy Science at the University of Georgia's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. She instructs 3-5 courses per semester, including topics like equine exercise physiology and companion animal care. She co-directs the CAES Japan and Spain study abroad programs and serves as an Equine Extension Specialist supporting youth programs such as the 4-H State Hippology Contest and State 4-H Horse Show.

She has received numerous accolades, including the D.W. Brooks Award for Excellence in Teaching and the NACTA Teaching Award of Merit. Her scholarly output spans muscle fatigue, equine dietary supplements, and pedagogical strategies in animal science education.
