Karen Redlich serves as a Practitioner in Residence in the Department of Human Sciences - Legal Studies and Political Science within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of New Haven. She joined the institution in 2008 as adjunct faculty and transitioned to her current role in 2013.
Her educational background includes a J.D. from New York University School of Law (1988), where she was a member of the Law Review, and a B.A. in History from Princeton University (1985), magna cum laude.
Redlich's research focuses on regulatory frameworks, examining how regulation addresses societal problems and the political influences shaping regulatory processes. She emphasizes practical legal education, particularly in foundational areas like Legal Research and Writing. Her expertise stems from extensive industry experience in antitrust litigation and telecommunications regulation.
She received the University's SHEro Award in 2013 for her contributions.
Redlich serves as faculty advisor to the First-Year student pre-law Living, Learning Community and previously maintained a decade-long career at AT&T handling merger approvals and regulatory compliance after clerking for the New Jersey Supreme Court and working at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
