Karen Gischlar is a Professor in the Department of Graduate Education, Leadership and Counseling at Rider University. Her research focuses on early/emergent literacy assessment and intervention, as well as multitiered systems of support.
Academic Background:
- Ph.D. in School Psychology from Lehigh University
- Ed.S. in School Psychology from Rider University
- M.A. in School Counseling from The College of New Jersey
- B.S. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey
Professional Experience: Prior to joining Rider University, she worked as a kindergarten teacher and school psychologist in K-12 public schools for 19 years. Her certifications include School Psychologist, Student Personnel Services, and teaching licenses in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
