Karen Davy is a Lecturer in the Department of Music at Cal Poly Humboldt. She specializes in violin, viola instruction, chamber music coaching, and string techniques. Her affiliations include the Humboldt Music Academy, Northcoast Preparatory and Performing Arts Academy, and faculty roles with the Sequoia and Humboldt Chamber Music Workshops. She also serves as Treasurer of the Kato Havas Association and has held board positions with the Eureka Symphony.
Before joining Cal Poly Humboldt, Davy taught in the Poughkeepsie City and Uniondale Free School Districts, and performed with orchestras in the New York area. Her professional activities span performance, education, and organizational leadership within classical music.
Key roles include Chamber Ensemble Director at Northcoast Preparatory, music coordinator, and active participation in regional symphonies such as the North State Symphony and Symphony of the Redwoods.
