Dr. Karen Croot is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), affiliated with the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA) within the School of Psychiatry. She specializes in neuropsychology, focusing on cognitive aging, speech disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases. Her current role involves leading the CogSCAN Study, evaluating computerized neuropsychological assessments for older adults. Previously, she held positions at the University of Sydney (Senior Lecturer in Applied Cognitive Psychology) and Macquarie University (postdoctoral fellowships). Her research has been funded by organizations including the Australian Research Council and Alzheimer’s Australia. Key projects include developing the Computer and Technology Attitude and Experience Questionnaire (CaTAQ) and investigating speech motor control in primary progressive aphasia.
