Karen B. Strier is Vilas Research Professor and Irven DeVore Professor of Anthropology at UW-Madison, with affiliations in Zoology and environmental studies. She directs the Muriqui Project of Caratinga, studying endangered primates in Brazil's Atlantic Forest since 1982.
