Karen Anderson is an Instructor in the Department of English at West Virginia State University (WVSU), affiliated with the College of Arts & Humanities. She holds a BA in English (Phi Beta Kappa, University of Iowa), an MA in Literature and Culture (Marshall University), and an MLS in Library and Information Science (UCLA). Her professional experience spans K-12 teaching, academic librarianship, and advertising. At WVSU, she teaches composition, literature, and human diversity courses while supervising lab assistants in multimedia classrooms. Her research and outreach emphasize the intersection of literature and film, including a decade-long partnership with the Kanawha County Public Library’s book discussion programs launched in 2004.
