Kara Jones

Kara Jones is an Adjunct Instructor in the Entrepreneurship program at the School of Business, State University of New York at Oswego. She concurrently serves as Marketing and Outreach Strategy Manager at CenterState CEO’s Tech Garden, Central New York’s premier technology incubator. Her role involves managing marketing, branding, and communications for Tech Garden initiatives such as the Integrated Business Planning Model, GENIUS NY accelerator, and Clean Tech Center. She also mentors entrepreneurs in marketing and PR.

Previously, Jones worked as a Public Information Officer for Oswego County Government and Tourism. She chairs the Central New York Chapter of PRSA and sits on Adapt CNY’s board. Educated at SUNY Oswego (B.A. Public Relations) and Marist College (M.A. Integrated Marketing Communications), her expertise spans entrepreneurship support, innovation ecosystems, and strategic communications.
