Kangping Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University's School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy. He received his B.S. in Mechanics from Peking University (1982) and Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics from the University of Minnesota (1990). His research spans multiphase flows, drag reduction, airplane de-icing, interfacial instabilities, and porous media flow.
