Kang Wang is a Research Fellow at King's Health Economics (KHE) within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London. He specializes in health economic evaluations, medical statistics, and breast cancer research. Previously, he earned an MSc in Health Economics and Decision Modelling from the University of Sheffield (2020).
His current work includes the STARRT-AKI clinical trial analyzing cost-effectiveness of renal replacement therapy in acute kidney injury, and the Prospects Study evaluating breast cancer screening methods using digital tomosynthesis. He develops simulation models using datasets like Hospital Episode Statistics and the Renal Registry.
Based at the David Goldberg Centre (18 De Crespigny Park, London), he contributes to economic evaluations impacting healthcare policy both nationally and internationally through KHE's multidisciplinary team led by Prof. Sarah Byford and Dr. Barbara Barrett.
